Grampians Jazz Festival

These three are all at  the Grampians Jazz Festival February 10-12.

SWEET ADE
Showcasing Ade Monsbrough’s music for recorder. A trad line-up but the material includes a couple of interesting non-trad tunes as well.
Marion Lustig (recorders), Joe Kenyon (sousaphone), Andrew Stephens  (banjo), Ron Hayton (washboard and drums), Lyn Thomas (piano), Ray Oliphant  (clarinet) and Janet Arndt  (vocals).

BT AND THE FULL-BODIED REDS
Jazz standards including some lesser known ones, with Bill Thomson (drums), Jazz Stutley (vocals), Colin Garrett (saxophone),  Marion Lustig ( piano) and Sergio Guirina (double bass).

DOWNTOWN DIXIELANDERS GREAT BIG MARCHING BAND
No marching, just a riot of undisciplined mayhem brought together by the inimitable Michael Cousins on trombone. Jammer Marion Lustig has unaccountably been asked to play recorder but will probably not be heard above the cacophony.  Last year the audience loved this band – perhaps because of its humour, definitely not its musicality.
Cheers
Marion
